Hi I've recently started using these strings - made by the people who build Status basses.Theyr'e wound by hand and are really good strings. They come in two types round core and hex core. The round core are slightly more expensive but have a more even sound and a lighter feel. The hex wound have a brighter sound tp them and a tighter feel.I use light gauge 30 - 90's.They are available by mail order I've not seen them in the shops.Kevin.

I use the double ball end version of these on my Status - they are very good. But I still use Rotos on my fretted J and my Ric.
