My Schecter Diamond J came with Elixer strings (Nano's, I believe). I broke the G string practicing my (rudimentary) slap technique this evening.

I've had a set of DR Sunbeams waiting in the wings. I've got some on another bass (Custom 4) and like them, so I re-strung the Diamond J with the new set.

Man, what a difference! The Sunbeams are much more suited to my preferred style, feel, and sound. They are softer, warmer, and just, well, "rounder". Much better on this bass IMHO.

Just thought I'd pass this along and get any comments.
Cheers
