Got a new Ibanez a few months ago that was strung with, I believe, Elixirs. I've never used any brand of coated string before, so I don't know if this is something they all have in common, or if it's just a fluke.
They stink.
Every now and then, I get a very subtle, faint whiff of urine coming from the strings. I noticed this in the shop on a few other Elixir-strung instruments; only stronger.

| | | Take them off and cook them in water. The smell should stay away until you play without washing your hands | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
