stock J bass strings question
 

Does anybody know what strings come stock on the Am Standard J from 2011? I have a set from by J bass (strung with XL Nickels now) and am thinking of putting them on my PJ in my string search efforts for this bass. Sort of would like to know what they are though. Thanks, Bob

Fender Super Bass 8250M. Nickel-plated steel roundwound, .045 .065 .85 .110TW.

Says it right there on Fender's website under the specs for that bass, which have not changed since 2011.

If still in doubt check the 2011 page in the Internet Archive.

Yep, Fender 8250Ms - same strings as the mia std (through body) P basses. And now that the new 8250Ms are made different, they don't sound as good or last as long as the old 8250Ms did. And they need the tapered E to setup right.

No prob dood, gives me a chance to look like I know something, when in reality I know little except how to look stuff up really, really well.
