Stock String Gauge on Rickenbacker 4003?

Hey all,

I don't remember the gauge of the stock strings that my Rickenbacker 4003 shipped with back in 2010. Do any of you know? I'd really appreciate it.

45-55-75-105

It's a typical 45-105 set with a smaller than typical D and A.

Quick follow-up:

What flat would require the least amount of tweaking to make the change from stock strings?

(Mine's in fact a 4004, but same neck and strings.)

I put TI Flats on My 4003 and only had to tweak the intonation on the E string.

Hrrrm. Not so concerned about intonation (Simple with the schaller bridge) but more with truss rod adjustments. But since you didn't mention that I assumed you didn't need to

If you want to minimize truss rod adjustments then store youe bass in a room with constant 35% humidity.

I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

I did not need to adjust truss rod but the action did come down just a tiny bit. Not a problem with Flats though because they can be set lower without noise IME.

I put my Rounds back on after about 5 ours playing time so I have a 99% new set if you're interested in trying them. They are for sale in the classifieds.

The Flats are great but I am learning Rush & Yes tunes lately and the Rounds are more my style for that.

I currently have TI's and LaBella 760FL's on two of my Rics and they required no adjustment to the TR at all. I also have a set of Rotosound 7 Monel Flats on another Ric and that bass is tuned to Eb. Dont think I would want to tune those strings up to pitch on a Ric. I assume it would require a TR adjustment for sure.
