Strange string question?

I just took off my old strings,cleaned the fretboard and was about to put on a new set of strings on my stingray. I noticed that the string is attracted to the pickup magnet and keeps getting stuck on the magnet. Is this normal? I dont remembering if I noticed it or not the last time I changed my strings.

yer its completely normal,how strong the magnetism just depends what metal your strings are made from. Its can become a problem when playing sometimes, but on a stringray it wont really, unless your very violent.
