So I heard this works for double bass, would it work on a fretted electric bass?

However, you can buy URB strings made out of the same material (but extruded in proper gauges)--they are popular with some of the rockbilly crowd. (If you like racing stripe on your URB, you might like these strings.) But you cannot string your URB with weed wacker string from the garden center and expect to rock.
#2--Pickups=magents. Need metal to vibrate. LIke everyone else said. Those "plastic" BG strings you see around? Nylon-coated steel. |
