I have tried a brand new pair of Ernie Ball Regular Slinkies (50-105), and D'Addario XL165(45-105) on my Fender MIM P-Bass
I have tried them with the stock bridge, and a vintage threaded saddle bridge, and the a strings always seems to be duller than the others, even though the strings are literally brand new. Yet the other strings, still seem to be bright.
The action is low-ish, as there is a small amount of rattle, but is not noticeable
through the amp/recorded.
Help me
