string gauge for tuning 1/2 step down?

My band plays everything 1/2 step down. I was wondering if its better to get strings with a slightly larger gauge to reduce flop...say 45-105? or 50-110? I like DR lo-riders btw...any help appreciated!

What are you using right now? 40-100?

Anyway, 45-105 will downtune fine. I can go down at least a minor third and still have it playable. But that might be because I play softly.
