I need to buy a new set of strings for a four string bass. This is my first time buying new ones since ive only been playing bass for 2 months now im pretty sur emy strings are wore out i dont even get good sound anymore and i play alot of old punk like misfits and sexpistols but also play alot of Sabbath and megadeth. i need som suggetsions because im finally getting a chance to go to the store tommorow.

I'll probably take a lot of crap for this, but for the stuff you play you probably couldn't go wrong with Ernie Ball Slinkies. I'd recommend 45-105 as a string gauge.

Yeah, slinkeys are pretty good. I like GHS Bass Boomers, they are a little more expensive, but not too bad. I like em a lot.
