String noise?

I'm looking for a 5 string set that doesn't give string noise when playing,any ideas please?

maybe flatwound strings is the way to go? but they have a very mellow sound, but don't produce any string noise

+1 for flatwounds. Raising the action slightly can help. Technique also helps a lot with carefully applied damping/muting.

I'm about to put half rounds on a newly acquired 5 string. I'm hoping for less string percussion and smoother action on the fingers but still have some twang when I want it.

Try to find a 5 string set of GHS Pressure wound or Rotosound 55 Pressure would strings will still have that briteness But not as much finger noise or fret and fretboard wear.
