String recomendations for 30" scale danelectro build

I have a new danelectro 24 fret 30" scale length neck with the dano "D" style tuners.Looking for string recomendations as far a brand and guage.Will a set with a 100 E string work o.k.? or is that too much for this neck? or is something like the d'add xl 155 6 string set more suited to this?

I used to hace a Gibson EB0..30 inch scale...I used really heavy gauge flats because the main problem with short scale is lack of tension...heavier gauge strings have more tension at the same pitch...hope this helps

I'd like to start with rounds and if i don't like thosework my way thru 1/2 rounds ,brite flats fand stop when i find the ones i like.The one thhing i'd prefer to say away from is the rubber band/flabby E string as much as possible with the 30" scale length.
