XL's are mellower, feel smoother, darker sounding, and a bit more percussive. |

I wish more places carried them around here...most stores I find have those GHS "Boomers", and that's about it, which I hate. I've tried those strings and can't stand them.

Usually I'm kind of out of options when it comes to flatwounds, since my local musicstore don't stock much bassstrings at all...
