| String suggestions for custom bass

Ok, well the final thing i need to sort out for my custom bass is a good set of strings, I was going to go with Warwick Black label Stainless steels, but i changed my mind, i though that if im getting a custom bass, lets go for a nicer set of strings.
The bass is a 33" scale 6 string. Does 33" constitute as Medium or Short scale ?
So anyone got any suggestions?
