Stringing a new Godin A4

Sign in to disble this ad
So, I am getting a Godin A4, and I want to fatten up the sound. I am looking into Rotosound Trubass Tapewound strings. They only have two types, Long Scale and Shortscale. Now, I have only ever bought longscale strings because I tend to have basses that need them. I am new to the whole acoustic thing, so what size should I be buying for this bass. Any suggestions?

The Godin A4 has a 34" scale, so you will need the Long Scale strings.

They come standard with roundwound electric strings (used to be DiAddario) - I've used both standard electric roundwounds and flats on my A4 (and previously, and A5)

I have one with LaBella tapewounds and they sound great.

Congrats on the bass. I love my A4.
