Question strings`fledged my bass'=?

Sign in to disble this ad
ok quickly here, bought a P copy from a well know auction site, and am considering some phat phlats to go with it=Roto 77's(steve harris/jazz) just considering mind you as chromes i KNOW i love so,,,,,,reading the revue at GCenter online a guy posted they `fledged' his bass, well gee whiz i sure wouldn't want that!,,,did a search here after reading`fledged' on wiki(like a bird that has grown up and ready to fly),=nothing showed in the search function here that i have days to go thru so,,what IS `fledging' of a bass? fret wear? or is the poster sniffing glue

(you can read the revue on the GC site it's cornfusing, more so than me)

Lol, I have read it and have no idea! I could guess that it means the Steve Harris set is high gauge, so could have put stress on the neck, and bent it (= fledged?) but thats a guess.

I wouldnt put too much faith in reviews (revue sorry ) from sites like that you are normally getting some di*ks opinion who has something to prove, with no knowlege to go with it. There wont be any problems with fret ware though.

that was my first impression

his neck relief changed ,but that happens all year long around here with 4 seasons,,i stayed with 45-100 chromes on my J but,,,all the talk about BEAD and drop tuning i've considered heavier guage, and i'd like to try them so i'll know, this bass is opening a new door for me to play `mod' maniac or i'll just keep the neck discard the rest(thank you for the reply!)
