I know it's a "to each his own" kind of thing, but I don't know how anyone can like the strings that come shipped with the new Fenders. I just bought a new MIA Fender P 5 and the strings that came with it are 8250/5M. While the bass is killer, the strings were so bad, I couldn't even play it until my preferred strings came in. They had really horrible overtones that squeaked and pinged depending on the place on the neck you're playing. They were very hard to the touch and they caused so much fret noise clanking that it just made me cringe. I wouldn't recommend these strings to anyone! This is just a warning from a guy who has been testing a lot of strings over the past 4 years.
