Strings for a 33" custom bass

So this is the last thing i need to sort out for my custom bass, a 6 string. I've never had a bass with this short a scale before and have found myself a bit lost looking for strings.

As this is a custom bass i want a nice set of strings, i was thinking either DR's or D'addario's stainless steels or chromes, roundwounds.

What are my options people? Also is there any other strings i should be considering?

Buy 34" strings and cut 'em as needed. Chromes are fine - but I'd say use whatever strings YOU like.
