| Strings for a 33" scale bass (6 string)

Ok, so my custom bass is in the final stages of being built. I had sent the luthier Rotosound Swing 66 strings for the bass to be strung with. My luthier sent me an email last night stating that there was a problem with the B-string, that the string was too long for the bass scale and the thick part of the string was getting wound onto the tuning peg, due to the long string length on a shorter scale length.
So i just thought i'd put it to the forum to see what anyone else who has a 33" scale bass is using for a low B??
