| IMO Fender 7250s aren't a bad idea if you want to go with rounds. They're not too warm but not overly bright either. If it were my '76 Precision, I'd be putting flats on that piece. When I read "touch of added brightness", Chromes were the first thing that came to mind. I have Chromes on my P-bass, and it can get both warm and chunky but it also has a bit of top if you roll the tone knob.
