Strings For Acoustic

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi I`m pretty much a newb that has just purchased a Hohner acoustic 4 string.
I`m wondering if there is a preference as to string type or brand for use with acoustics. General purpose with no dominant need or area of interest as far as playing style is concerned. Thanks & take care. Bob

Most folks use Phosphor bronze strings with them. I prefer not to. I like
GHS Precision Flats in a light gauge, D'Addario Chromes in the same gauge, or tapewounds such as the Fender 9120s or LaBellas. They all have less fingernoise than the bronze ones, and sound more "acoustic" to me.
