I recently picked up a 2007 American Deluxe Jazz V while waiting for my Valenti to be completed, and it turns out that this is an incredible bass for the money. I absolutely love the damn thing!
I normally use Daddario Pro Steels, .45 to .135 on my fives, but on this bass, the B at that gague is difficult to intonate. I am not a fan of the Fender strings that the bass came with. For those of you with ADJV's which strings have worked best in your experience? For reference, I play in an 8 piece rock/soul/funk band, so I look for articulation rather than pure "grind". Thanks for your help!

I like the feel of Stainless steel over nickel, but I should probably give both options a shot. Does anyone here know what Adrian Garcia used on his J5's?
