Strings for beginner/SX stock replacements

I am helping a friend buy a beginner bass rig for her husband's B-day. at my advice, she ordered an SX p-bass. The wisdom around TB is that once you get an SX bass, you need 1.) New Strings and 2.) a good set up.

I am taking the instrument to have it set up later today, and I'd like to throw on some new strings too. But having not been a beginner for a while, I am not sure what to get. I'm thinking the husband in question will probably want to play rock and punk at first, so I'm leaning towards round wounds. I used to use DR lo riders, so I may grab a pair of those.

any recommendations for Beginner/ SX replacement strings?

Good strings on an SX make all the difference. DR strings are great, get em!
