Strings for a C-F-Bb-Eb tuning?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi everybody

I want to try out thing tuning (inspired by AJ and PP with Chaka and d'angelo) - but I'd like you guys to come with a few recomendentions on which brands or gauges I should choose.

I'm using my 72 Fender P bass, and I usually use a thick (045) string and a high action.

Thank you for your time

i can help. i play in hella-low tunings all the time and i like thick strings, super high tension, and high action.

DR Lo-Riders, man, theyre the best for what you want. i live by these strings. They are .45 through .110.
they use a hexagonal core and are hand wound thicker than what they are rated, then compressed down to the actual gauge. they f***ing rock.
