Which strings compliment a Bartolini system best?

I am looking for strings that really compliment that bartolini system with pickups and pre.

I want my sound to be as close to a piano as possible but really thick and fat. What strings do this best?

Sounds like your describing DR Lo Riders.

I use Hi Beams, but I like it bright and punchy.

I may try some Black Beauties for a change today ad they are out of Hi Beams at the store.

I liked the Ken Smith Nickel wound strings for a piano-like tone. They have round cores like the DR Hi Beams so they are very flexible, with a fat bottom, while still having brilliant piano-like overtones. Hex core strings will give you slightly more tension, and also a slightly darker (IMO) sound.
