Strings for Dean Rhapsody

Sign in to disble this ad
Yesterday I traded in a couple of my basses and got a "new" 8 string Dean Rhapsody. The bass had been at the store forever and the strings are corroded and sticky. Who makes strings for this bass, and which would you recommend?

Thanks,

-Joel

When I was an 8 string bassist (an experiment that failed due to my short fingers) I used this SIT set:
S I T Strings Electric Bass Power Wound Nickel Long 8 String Octave, .018 - .095, NR81895L
The price was good, and the sound was great. I would use this set and not the lighter set, which was what the bass came with, due to the lack of lowend.
I have had a lot of success with SITs.
Best of luck.
