| Painting with a broad brush, that's sort of a Marcus Miller sound. Oddly enough, the guitar player in that clip calls Marcus his boss for most of the year.
That tone requires a very bright, relatively new set of roundwound strings, preferably stainless steel. String brands aren't limited, but the best results IME can be had with DR strings, which Marcus himself uses.
You can get that twangy sound with a Warwick, but it won't sound like a J-Bass style instrument, which is the classic platform to get that tone.
