Hey I haven't changed my strings in years on my Epiphone Thunderbird bass and was wondering if anyone could tell me which strings are the exact same ? because these ones have red fabric on the winders ??

Probably just some generic factory ones. I'd try DR Black Beauties - use them on all of my Birds.

Yes, probably a generic Chinese 45-105 set is on there.

Black Beauties is a good call, plus the look is awesome.

My local music store has Dunlop 45-105 nickels for $9.99, so I have been using those. Nice, balanced set of strings.

Rotosounds have nice red silk wrap, but unless you put those on after you bought it, that wont be whats on it. Still, would be great choice imo. Dr sunbeams or neons would be my other pick for best strings to me.

I've recently switched from Rotosound to Ernie Ball Slinky strings.

They fit my budget, and give a Geddy Lee "Fly By Night" tone
