strings for Fender ABG

Hi, I don´t like the feel and the sound of the stock strings my Fender Kingman ABG has on it.

Did any of you tried with diferent type of strings, and what are the result of it?

I was thinking of trying some flats as I look for a upright bass type of sound.

What do you all think?

I'd go for more thumpity goodness. I'd go for nylons for a more upright sound though. I personally hate the finger noise of bronze strings on AGB's.
