Is there any suggestion for strings on a Pedulla fretless bass?

DR neons. I dont like flatwound strings and would only use roundwounds. I would require the fretboard be ebony or very good rosewood. Dr Neons cause theyre coated yet still sound like very nice uncoated roundwounds. Rotosound nexus or Elixers could be another very good coated roundwound string choice.

DD Chromes (yes, flats) are happily mwahhing on my Lakland 55-01 with ebony FB. In fact I had to loosen the neck a quarter turn to get the mwahh under control.

I currently use GHS Precision Flats and TI Jazz Flats as well as GHS Pressurewounds for the roundwound sound. My fave string for fretless were the original Fender 7250s before they changed them.

I use GHS Brite Flats (which are half rounds) or D'addario Half Rounds on my fretless Ripper. Ebony fingerboard.

I used to use rounds, but they were a little hard on the fretboard.
Tried flats, but they were just a little to thumpy and took a little more work to pull some attack out of them.

I loved the sound and feel of the D'addario Halfrounds when they were made in stainless steel. That was the perfect fretless string for me. Now they make them (I don't know why) in nickel and the feel especially is YUKK...

+1, but on my Tony Franklin. The ground/half rounds aren't quite as bright as true rounds, but they're still much more alive than typical flats. Also, almost zero wear on the fingerboard
