Strings for Gibson Ripper basses

Sign in to disble this ad
for stringing thru the body, D'addario's tapered too soon on the E string and got thin right at the first fret before the nut.

Dean Markley Blue steels and super rounds seem to work pretty good. i like Med.light 45-105 and custom light 46-102
gauges, we tune down 1/2 step...

just wondering what other ripper players like using.

I use DR Hi-Beams on mine 45-105, through the body. Very bright sound.
