strings with gold-coated ball ends

I bought a Spector Euro 5 string bass new and it has strings with gold colored ball ends that go on the bridge. What strings do you think they might be? They're quite nice.

All I can say is we know they're most likely not D'Addarios... lol

Well Spector has their own line of strings, don't they. If you bought a Spector new it would probably be using those strings...

Other than that, many string makers use gold-coloured ball ends.

Could be a few...

Any silk?

The end near the tuners does it taper down to full windings, spaced windings, hows the wrapping by the ball end?

Dunlop nickels have a taper on the lower strings, no silk, and gold ball ends. The 10 dollar a set Martin bulk bass strings I bought for awhile also did. That's a pretty standard setup for strings.

Easiest answer? Email or call Spector.

Here is your answer.

Who makes Spector strings?

D'addario makes them custom for Spector, maybe. Depending on where the bass came from.
