strings with great feel and fast playability

I've used Roto 66 strings on my SX Jazz and P-basses. I loved the tone, but not the clackity sound of them hitting the fretboard, nor that sticky/dry feel. I was also cleaning the fretboard at one point and did see tiny marks from the Roto's on the frets.

I've thrown GHS tape wound strings on my P-Bass (45-105) and love the feel and I find I can just play faster (slides too). But the tone is subdued and thumpy, and that's fine for what I want from the P-bass.

I have nickel roundwounds on my Jazz, tone is ok, but I hate how they feel (like hundreds of tiny metal balls strung together).

Is there a string brand that has great feel, allows for fast speed, won't mark up frets and also has great tone for a Jazz style bass? At this point I'm playing mostly rock (Rush, Zeppelin, Sabbath).

I don't know about on a jazz bass but I've always liked Ernie Ball SuperSlinky Roundwounds (the ones in the hot pink packet!) Super fast, don't mark up your fretboard and, even when dead, they still sounds good. A little more pricey than Rotos, so it's a mixed bag really.

Dunlop strings are surprisingly good.
