strings have been tooling off my hands

i stretch. i drink water. play fingers, play pick...dosnt matter. i think i need heavier gauge strings that are tight tension so there isnt as much flopping around. plus i like high tension low action and whatnot. just basic all around good sound i can play with my fingers. lots of octave jumps and such, indie rock though.

i used fender and ernie ball 45-100's and my hands got tooled off and cramped trying to make them sound. ( i use a big loud set-up by the way) i switched to fender stainless flats. 50-100. and they turned my finger tips into hamburger meat repeatedly...sounded good though!

anyway. i'd like a good all around simple nickel-plated string with at least a .50 on the G.

any guys have bad experience with a .110 on the low E? am i on the right track ya think?

How about Dadario EXL 160's. There nickel and the string gauges are (50, 70, 85, 105).
