Strings for a long scale AEB? (with info)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,
I'm looking for a decent set of strings for an AEB. It's a 34" scale (cheap Dean) and I prefer flat wounds if possible. I'd also like a reasonably low tension, not too low but not something thats going to put a lot of strain on the neck. I play mostly rock, some classic, some newer. I like a bit of thump with good all around tone. I play this bass mostly unplugged but would like a good tone plugged in as well. I don't care about a ton of volume unplugged, just want to hear myself playing. On my other basses I like chromes or really well broken in wounds (like a year or more broken in) I haven't had a chance to try any other flats yet. What strings should I look into for the AEB?
