strings with mwaah

what strings will give a fretless more mwaah DR sunbeams, Fender nickel super bass or Dadarrio half wounds

if you have any other suggestions i am open to them

it's more in the set up and technique than the string IMO

In general terms - irrespective of make or model - I think a roundwound string is likely to yield a little more mwah than a compression-wound or ground-wound string...although each model of string is going to have its own individual character - so the best approach is to experiment.

All things considered, I agree that set-up and technique is more important than string choice...

roundwounds, halfs, then flats, but inside each of those categories, I'd say you'd be hard pressed to tell if one had significantly more "mwaah" than another. Bass setup is very important, agreed.

TI Jazz Flats work for me.

The lower tension gives you that delicious mwaah.

Give 'em a try. If you don't like them, you can sell them here on TB. People are always looking to pick up a set of these things.

Definitely the setup more than anything else, although good ss roundwounds do help...
