I'm hating hearing the top end clank from my silly bright and stiff phosfor bronze strings that I have on my Takamine EG 512c bass.
Has anyone had much experience with nylon core roundwounds?
I would prefer it if they were more bendy but without loosing definition or bottom.

You might shuffle over to the Acoustic Bass Fetish Club on this web site and ask.

I'll have a peek and see if theres an old thread on it first to save me the shame of being part of a fetish club Thanks for the advice.

Well, one of the most pleasant surprises I've ever had was the day I put Thomastik Jazz Flats (specifically the JF344 set) on my Ovation CC074. The change was astounding. The sound is phenomenal, as is the feel. Sounds 100% better acoustically and especially amplified. Highly recommended!

I've been using DR Sunbeam medium light Nickels on my
ABG's. Once they settle in, they last forever with a nice
organic sound. A more spacious sound than flats.
