Strings for my ATK-300

Sign in to disble this ad
Late last spring I bought a ATK 300 (natural) and have been using the Elixir's that came on it. I was wondering what would be a good string for this bass.

I have 3 basses I play and one bass is a 5 string Fullerton Duluxe and has a MM style pup and I have Sadowsky flats on it and I really like the sound. My second bass is a ESP 6 string bass and I put DR coated strings.

Any suggestions on the ATK-300 I was thinking of DR black beauty's. I will do a search and see what all is popular also.
All 3 basses get pretty much equal time and since I only play about 2 times a week a lot of times I get in the mood to just stick with one for a while. Also all 3 has active EQ's and I dont use any effects. I play them straight thru my Bassman 200.

Thanks for the advice. Oh for what its worth the main reason I was thinking about Black Beautys was because of the looks and that they were coated and would probably last longer. But tone is the most important. I like a good active sound.

Thanks again
