Strings question, hate to do this

I've tried searching and really can't find much as far as direct comparisons go so heres my question.

Can I get a comparison between the following strings:
Slinky's (nickel)
DR Sunbeams
D'adarrio nickels
Rotosound swing66 (nickels)

Obviously I'd like the comparison on how they sound, but also how they feel (rough, smooth, etc).

roto sound

I have used a lot of different strings from ghs boomers, ernie ball super slinkys, smith, and many others but i use roto sound they have the fattest sound with the longest sustain as well as last longer. I play 2 to 3 gigs a week on top of playing studio sessions, church, and practice i i go to buy strings and the store does not have the roto sound nickle round wound strings i use i go to another store.

Oddly, I've found that Roto's last no time for me. They become unplayable and very sticky within a week...why the heck is that??

From that list I like Ernie Ball Slinky's, they last forever. Never tried Sunbeams because they cost twice as much as Slinkys or D'Adarrio's (of which I have never used either.)

My favorite overall though are SIT Power Wounds...cost less, sound better, last longer.

I have used 3 of the 4 strings you have mentioned. IMO, the D'addarios keep their tension and stay in tune the longest, have the most consistent freshness (I've never gotten a bad string fresh out of the package), and have the most consistent tone from string to string. That being said, they also have the least character. These are like the Toyota Camrys of the string world. The Rotosounds would be my favorite, but they don't seem to travel well from England to America. I'd bet that 10% of the Rotosound string sets I've purchased in my life had at least one corroded or bad string in the pack. The Ernie Ball is my favorite as far as tone is concerned, but that cool sound leaves the string very quickly. I practice and travel with D'addarios, but I would record with Ernie Balls.

you should use a string cleaner after each time you play. i use fast fret. I have yet to get any bad strings from the package of any brand as in corroded or straight dead I guess i have been lucky that way. I would like the Ernies but they die fast though they do sound great for about 3, 1 hour sessions.
