Strings recommendation

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to buy a better set of strings then what came with my bass. What can anyone recommend for all-around playability of any type of genre of music? (I just play for fun-jazz and rock.)

Thanks for any suggestions.

The most middle of the road bass string IME and by string-maker standards is some kind of a nickel roundwound. Try out ghs boomers or something by DR.

D'Addario XL 165s or 170s are pretty middle of the road. Cheap and you can find them everywhere. The two pack pricing is very competitive.
