strings with red fabric on both ends

Sign in to disble this ad
hi there,

this year i bought a wonderful gold squire p-pass pro which came with the best strings i ever had. problem is the seller does not know which strings these are. before they gone bad they had an immense mid-growl which i was never able to get from other strings i normaly use.

does anybody know strings which do have red fabric on both ends of the string? i tried fenders, boomers,.... but they all have fabric only on one side.

i also asked my local musicstore but they also donīt know strings with both red ends.

it would be too great if somebody could help me on my search.

Most likely Rotosounds! They are awesome until they go "dead"

+1 on the Rotosounds.

They do go 'dead' quickly, but THAT tone is worth it!!!

Likely Rotos, but Ken Smith does some w/a red-orange wrap. Nickels, IIRC.

Ken Smith does strings that match your description. And they will be great strings. Give them a call.

Fender 5250XL strings USED TO have red silks at both ends.
Apparently, a variant of these strings are made by D'Addario now and they do not have silks on both ends.

Most likely Rotosounds.

Although I like dead strings.. Never clean em.. Got gunk and grease and sweat all over..

And I use Flats.. Even deader..

But yeah.. Rotos probably.

And you says Rotos only have silk on one end.. Mine have silk (Jazz 77s) on both ends? Even when I used Swing Bass they had silk on both ends... Strange.

yeah the rotos have are red only on one end - maybe this differs from usa to europe (where i live).

from fender i tried 7250l, 7350ml, 7150ml and 7250ml. they all have no fabric on the sting just the ugly colored ballends
