strings for a rockbass

Sign in to disble this ad
My girlfriend got me a new bass the other day for my bday. Its a warwick rockbass corvette lefty, and its pretty damn nice. Im just getting used to the electronics at the mo, but i have one problem with it, and thats the stock strings. theyre ok, but very bright, and theyre a very small gauge, much thinner than what im used to.Im probably just gonna use this bass for funk, some slapping and popping, so im looking for that old school muddy funk sound. It could be theyre just all new and shiny still, which will go away eventually, but theyre still a little...well, not what im used to.Any suggestions?Thank you for any suggestions.
