Strings? Short - Round - Nickel - Heavyish

Yet another "what set" Q...

30" Scale instrument.

4 string thru body

Looking for stout pure nickel wrap roundwounds that will provide a solid and articulate low "E" and not be floppy & clanky.

I like Maxima/Optima gold heavies on my 34"scale bass but I don't really want to cut them to fit the 30"...

Suggestions?

TIA

This may work. I think they would fit the bill quite nicely. No flopiness at all.

In case your body thru actually needs medium scale strings due to extra string length:

You may need to go to D'Addario's website or email them to see which will fit your bass. Hope you find what you need.

Thanks much.

I'll probably have to kiss a few princesses to find the frog, and it's nice to have a starting point.
