Strings that sound like this?

Go to custom tuning and then select guitar sound, sounds really deep and warm and growly and is pretty much my ideal kinda tone but I've never come across any strings that sound that deep, anyone got any ideas? Obviously other things factor into how deep a bass sound is but that kinda natural depth from the strings seems to give the most organic sound.

I think you'd need new nickel rounds, and a very powerful and clean rig to get a tone like that at any real SPLs. I'm not sure how effective it would be in a mix either.

Maybe a baritone guitar is what you're looking for?

I don't hear it as being particularly deep, myself.

Depends on the guage, eq, rig, and who makes the string, if you're trying to reproduce this sound from that web site I'm sure you can get close. A B at 135 is fairly deep however some folks will use a low F# for more lowend. Experiment with it a see what you come up with.

Sounds pretty deep on my sound system but I do have a fairly decent sub, anyway the thing that appealed the most is the roundwound sounding growl but without too much of the zing but with a fair bit of depth, in my setup I'd probably EQ the whole thing to have a bit more upper mids but it's a pretty decent example of how I'd want my strings to sound ideally.

I'm quite happy with my low E being my lowest note for now, to be honest, when I have my Berg NV215 and I've got my head repaired/found a new one, then I'll plenty of depth from my rig, but even when it was working fine there was something missing from my bass, Ernie 110s are pretty much the closest I've come to a not too zingy roundwound that I like.

I do realise this a pretty silly comparison by the way
