Can't help you--I just use normal gauge strings tuned down a couple of steps, to get that sort of rubbery feel to them.

But what tuning are you planning on using?

Oh ya , I'll be playing on C and I'm on an ESP LTD Ax-104 35" bass.

Stoner Doom?

Who cares? The crowd is all gonna be stoned, you could take a broom and air guitar and make bass noises with your mouth and they'd think you were God....and even if they did know, they will be too depressed about their miserable lives that they won't have time to worry...

Seriously though, why not try heavier gauge flat wounds? Are you looking for a deep low thud, or a more metal sounding zing?

D'Addario are the official strings of the secular doom fusion movement. Thick, meaty, and slappable!

+2 for flats.

I use the ECB81-5 IIRC.

.132 for the B is quite nice. I tune ADADF at the moment.
