Sign in to disble this ad
I'm hoping someone here will be able to steer me in the right direction....
i have a cheapie Rogue Hofner copy Violin shaped Bass, and i need new strings(flatwound preferrably)...
i'm having a bit of trouble finding proper strings for it, 30" scale strings prove to be too short due to the trapeze tailpiece, and 34" scale strings are much too long....
PLEASE help ?
THANK YOU ! |

The bass uses 32" strings....just about ALL of the violin basses do, because of the bridge/tailpiece design.
The stock strings on the Rogue are horrible - I know, I own one. Labella Hofner Flats will make it sound wonderful - they're the strings it's designed for.

In the end he had to use an E string from his jazz bass, don't know which one exactly (but a Pyramid string)...
but I love pyramids, on any kind of a bass (had them on Ps and Js) | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
