Stronger strings

I left my bass in DADA tuning over night, because I was doing some harmonics practise, and I found the next day that the G/A string had snapped. I'm currently using Ernie Ball strings, are there any that would be more suitable to more tension?

I bet a slightly thinner gauge for just the G/A string would do it. Try just .005 less on the high string.

There are sets that aproximate this - look around for balanced tension sets.
