Suggestions for bright strings

Sign in to disble this ad
I ordered a Squier Vintage Modified Precision TB (Telecaster bass for all practical purposes) to play some classic country on. I'm concerned about the mud I could be dealing with and have a few tips from other owners about coil splitting/pole adjustments etc... and would appreciate suggestions on a string that may brighten up this bass some if I have problems getting the clarity I want. I'm a UB player that's been away from BG for a long time, but am really enjoying getting back into playing some old country stuff.......but I don't want a totally vintage or totally modern sound either.
I know, crazy.....my preference for gauge would probably run in the medium to (maybe) light range.
Now that I've made that clear as mud......
Thanks for the help,
Rod

Stainless, or alloy 52 round wounds will get you brightness. Not my first choice on a precision, but there you are.
