sunbeams for slap

Sign in to disble this ad
i have been playing on fender super bass 7250 strings and they have a nice warm tone but sound very good when slapped, i play them on my jag and they sound good in any type of music

Do sunbeams do the same thing, what would the advantage of getting sunbeams be and do they slap?

Why would you want to switch from the Fenders if you really like them?

I've never played Sunbeams myself, but yes, they "do slap". In fact, ALL strings do slap, it depends what kind of tone you're looking for.

The Sunbeams are round core, so you'd get lighter tension vs the Fenders.

I really like Sunbeams on my fretless, and high beams on fretted.

I got caught up in all the TI flats hoopla and also wasted more dough on some SIT silencers before coming back to the various DR round core strings.

It sounds like you might be about to do the same thing with the Fenders. If you like the Fenders, stick with the Fenders.
