Super bass or modest bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am currently upgrading my MIM p-bass with a bad ass II , seymor duncan 1/4 pounds and a hipshot extender. I have flats on this bass. My question is, should I go back to roundwounds after the upgrades so it sounds like a superbass, or keep the flats and have it sound like a more traditional p-bass. Or do I REALLY have the wrong idea, and my bass won't even sound that diffeent, and these upgrades are just a huge waste of money?

I wouldn't call it a waste of money, but all those upgrades would buy you a second MIM P bass on ebay.
